Is Baby Lilibet in Line For the British Throne?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s child lady has arrived! On June 4, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, into the world at Santa Barbara’s Cottage Hospital. The tiny tot is called after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and Harry’s late mom, Princess Diana.

“On June 4th, we have been blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili,” the couple said in a statement. “She is greater than we may have ever imagined, and we stay grateful for the love and prayers we have felt from throughout the globe. Thanks in your continued kindness and help throughout this very particular time for our household.”

Although Lili didn’t obtain a royal title when she was born (similar to her brother, Archie), she nonetheless holds a spot in line for the British throne. Lili is at the moment eighth in line, following Harry and Archie, who maintain the sixth and seventh spots, respectively. In the meantime, Prince Charles is first within the line of succession, adopted by Prince William and his three youngsters, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Hopefully, Meghan and Harry deal with us to a glimpse of child Lili quickly!
