How do you honor a king? Reeling from the lack of my colleague, my pal, my brother. Struggling for phrases. Nothing feels satisfactory. I at all times marveled at how particular Chadwick was. Such a pure hearted, profoundly beneficiant, regal, enjoyable man. My whole job as Okoye was to respect and shield a king. Honor his management. Chadwick made that job profoundly simple. He was the epitome of kindness, magnificence, diligence and style. On many an event I’d assume how grateful I used to be that he was the main man I used to be working carefully with. A real class act. And so completely geared up to tackle the accountability of main the franchise that modified every little thing for Black illustration.

He made everybody really feel beloved, heard and seen. He performed nice, iconic roles as a result of he possessed within himself that connection to greatness to have the ability to so richly deliver them to life. He had a heroic spirit, and marched to the beat of his personal drum; therefore his excellence as an artist and the unbelievable braveness and willpower as he confronted life’s challenges; whereas nonetheless guiding us all.

He was zen and candy and humorous (with the perfect chuckle), attentive, and actually, actually, good. I can not even wrap my thoughts round this loss. A loss resonating in my very own coronary heart in addition to across the globe. The kids he impressed, my coronary heart aches for them, to lose their hero simply as they lastly discovered him. I’m so grateful to have taken the Black Panther journey with him. To have recognized him, frolicked in his gentle and management and to name him eternally a pal.
